Warrington based Care at Home Group (CAHG) is celebrating having received a Good rating by the Care Quality Commission (CQC) in their latest inspection report.
The report, published on 17 March awarded CAHG a Good rating across all five areas that the CQC inspect.
Chief Executive Officer, Karl Jacobie established Care at Home Group in 2018, following the purchase of a local care company. He was confident that with the right team he could improve the quality of care that people deserved.
Despite the continuing challenges of recruitment, rising costs and of course, Covid, the business has grown steadily, and now has offices in Warrington, the Wirral and Winsford, offering a strong portfolio of domiciliary and complex care provision across Wirral, Halton, Knowsley, Cheshire West and Cheshire East Councils as well as providing assistance to private clients.
Karl Jacobie, Chief Executive Officer of Care at Home Group commented;
‘This rating is testimony to the fantastic team that I have working with me and to the tremendous job that they do.
Our previous Warrington report was disappointing and we pledged to rectify any identified shortfall by working with and alongside CQC and Warrington Borough Council. This turnaround is all credit to the team, their organisational ability, dedication, compassion, and care.
Care at Home Group continue to strive for excellence, and we are already working towards achieving an Outstanding rating at the next inspection’.
Kirsty Evans Registered Manager has been acknowledged throughout the report for her contribution to the support of staff, responsiveness to working with professionals, and listening to family members to drive forward continuous improvement.
“We’re working hard on all aspects of our business to build a strong, trustworthy and reliable company. We don’t want to just be good. We want to be outstanding”.
The CQC report made comments that included ‘..the service was consistently managed and well-led. Leaders and the culture they created promoted high-quality, person-centred care’.
‘People’s outcomes were consistently good, and people’s feedback confirmed this’ and; ‘..people’s needs were met through good organisation and delivery’.
The CQC inspection was unannounced. Inspection activity started on 9 February 2023 and ended on 3 March 2023.
