“There are only four kinds of people in the world. Those who have been Carers. Those who are currently Carers. Those who will be Carers, and those who will need a Carer.”
Your role will involve caring for people within their own homes, building trust and maintaining their dignity. It is a very important and rewarding role with clients looking forward to your visit every day. Continuous training and professional development will be provided, so if you want to make it your career we will help you progress.
Work with a growing, dynamic company
Every employee at Care at Home Group enjoys the benefits of being part of a great company with regular hours, rewarding pay, support and holiday entitlements including:
• Regular hours and regular clients.
• No zero hours contracts
• Paid travel time
• Training and a career pathway
• Holiday and sick pay
• Awards and rewards including paid birthdays!
Full and part time hours are available, and we simply don’t believe in zero hours contracts.
We reward our carers generously for the outstanding role they deliver (from £8.21 to £10.50 per hour dependant on experience and role). In addition, we pay from start to finish, from your first appointment to your last on each run, this includes all travel time in between plus a mileage allowance. We also offer a monthly bonus scheme.
For experienced staff and those with no previous experience, we offer a full in-house training program, including the Diploma in Health & Social Care (NVQ level 2 and 3) if you do not already have one.
Having your own vehicle is beneficial however not essential with CARE AT HOME.
There is nothing about care that our trainer doesn’t know. They have been carers themselves and understand what you need to know to be the very best carer yourself. Our training involves a combination of interactive classroom sessions and practical exercises. Our carers always feel confident as they take the first steps on their journey into care with CARE AT HOME:
- Moving and Handling
- Emergency First Aid (at work)
- Food Safety
- Equality & Diversity
- Safeguarding Vulnerable Adults
- Fire Safety
- Care Certificate
