“There are only four kinds of people in the world. Those who have been Carers. Those who are currently Carers. Those who will be Carers, and those who will need a Carer.”
Our Carers are passionate about supporting adults of all ages, ensuring they have the opportunity to remain in the comfort of their own home. It’s because of their passion and dedication that we’re making a real difference to people’s lives every single day. If you feel that same passion, then it’s time to join our team so if:
- You are looking for a career and not just a job?
- You want to feel like you are making a difference?
- Are you a people person?
- You want variety in what you do?
- Bringing a smile to someone else’s face brings a smile to yours
- You understand the need for respect and dignity when caring for others
- You are compassionate, respectable and reliable
Then you are our type of person!
We are always looking for those special people who are as passionate about care as we are. If you feel that you could make a difference by being a CARE AT HOME Carer, then we want to hear from you.
We do not utilise zero-hour contracts. All contracts are circa 40 plus hours per week for full time staff however part time hours are also available to fit around your commitments.
We reward our carers generously for the outstanding role they deliver (from £8.21 to £10.50 per hour dependant on experience and role). In addition, we pay from start to finish, from your first appointment to your last on each run, this includes all travel time in between plus a mileage allowance. We also offer a monthly bonus scheme.
For experienced staff and those with no previous experience, we offer a full in-house training program, including the Diploma in Health & Social Care (NVQ level 2 and 3) if you do not already have one.
Having your own vehicle is beneficial however not essential with CARE AT HOME.
There is nothing about care that our trainer doesn’t know. They have been carers themselves and understand what you need to know to be the very best carer yourself. Our training involves a combination of interactive classroom sessions and practical exercises. Our carers always feel confident as they take the first steps on their journey into care with CARE AT HOME:
- Moving and Handling
- Emergency First Aid (at work)
- Food Safety
- Equality & Diversity
- Safeguarding Vulnerable Adults
- Fire Safety
- Care Certificate
